Elmer

Elmer is a community-based pre-preschool for children between 3 months and 3,5 years old, with branches in 4 regions in Brussels. Our mission is to organise high quality ECEC for the youngest children (0-3y) in the Brussels region. Elmer works as a learning community to develop this high quality service: it has a total capacity of 188 places and a staff of about 105 people, and it is also Center for Inclusion for children with special needs. Our target groups are families who need childcare to be able to follow training, to start a new job, and for parents with social or medical needs who need daycare. Elmer work is based on the principles of active pluralism in dealing with diversity and belief in the positive growth of people. Elmer stands for accessibility and flexibility towards all parents, with special attention to those who live in disadvantaged circumstances.
